Bravo SLO Performing Arts Showcase
For Performing Arts Center
In 2010, the Hind Foundation granted $19,000 to the Performing Arts Center (PAC) to host its second annual BravoSLO event and to expand the program that it offers to winners of the Bravo award. BravoSLO 2010 was a showcase for more than 20 organizations that performed at the Cohan Center and Spanos Theatre throughout the year. The program helps organizations expand their audience and exposure by providing video recording/production, promotional support, and materials.
• Increased Opportunity
The annual grant makes the PAC accessible to smaller organizations and artistically risky productions. This year’s winner was Theresa Slobodnick’s Ballet Theater of San Luis Obispo.
“I want to express my deepest thanks to you and the Hind Foundation for creating and funding the BRAVO award. Our March project, a wonderful collaboration with the Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center, simply could not fly without this important funding. With the BRAVO award, many artists will collaborate to bring awareness, education, and financial support to the rising presence of autism in our society. Thank you again for all you do to support our community in such creative, wonderful ways.”
~Theresa, Artistic Director
"Thank you so much for your recent generous gift underwriting The Bravo SLO award...your thoughtfulness truly makes the crucial difference in recognition talented young performers need as they seek to perform in venues offering recognition commensurate with their ability."
~Jeanne Potter, President, FPAC Board
