Sacred Music in Sacred Spaces
For Festival Mozaic
In 2015, the Hind Foundation granted $13,500 to Festival Mozaic to help underwrite the costs of producing two performances of J.S. Bach's masterpiece Mass in B minor at Mission San Miguel and Mission San Luis Obispo. This special program celebrated the Festival's 45th anniversary and featured a first-time intra-state collaboration between the professional chorus at Bach Collegium San Diego and the Festival Mozaic orchestra. Scott Yoo, Festival Mozaic's music director, conducted the performances.
The 2015 collaboration with Bach Collegium San Diego allowed the Festival to greater extend its connection with supporters of the arts and music throughout the state of California and beyond.
