Feed the Rescued Horses

In 2013, the Hind Foundation granted $2,500 to Saving Horses, Inc. to fund their feeding program for the final quarter of 2013. The grant helped rescued horses under Saving Horses’ care and horses whose owners fell on hard times and needed temporary assistance. Even with consistent fundraising campaigns, the grant was needed due to revenue challenges from the economic downturn. The award allowed Saving Horses to assign existing monies to veterinary and farrier costs.

Noteworthy Outcomes

  • Beyond Basic Care
With hay and supplemental fee covered for three months, the organization could focus their efforts on providing care to the rescued horses beyond basic food and board.
